First time mando player after many years on guitar. This instrument is of good overall quality for the price. Nice sound projection and ring from a solid spruce top. Some very nice aesthetic appointments make this mandolin pop vs. other student mandos which, in most cases, cost more. Pleasantly surprised. Good customer service from GMI!!!! Thank you!!!!
