Payment: We accept PayPal, AmericanExpress, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover credit card payments.
Shipping: We offer free shipping for all musical instruments on our website to our U.S. customers in the lower 48 states. Shipping to other destinations outside of the 48 U.S. states is sent by USPS for the average cost of from $39 to $59 (heavier/large items will be more), including cost of insuring package. We will discount the value of what the shipment would cost to ship to U.S. 48 states destinations. Under normal circumstances, we do our best to ship most verified orders within 48 hours (except orders placed on weekends and major holidays).
We ship almost entirely via United Parcel Service (UPS). Outside of the 48 U.S. states and lightweight packages are shipped by Priority Mail via United States Postal Service (USPS). Heavyweight and oversize items are shipped by freight.
On rare occasions we may face unforeseen delays in shipping your order (i.e. large order volumes, weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control). We will notify you by phone or email if we determine your order will not ship by the time frame as stated.
Damaged Shipments: We shall not be responsible for shortage, delays and/or item(s) arriving in damaged condition that is beyond our control. It is your responsibility to inspect item(s) upon delivery and report any shortage and/or damages to us within 24 hours of delivery. The Original shipping carton and packing material must be retained and item(s) returned in same. Claims for damage or defects must be reported within three (3) business days of receipt by e-mail to support@greatmusicalinstruments.net or phone 707-882-2414. For returns, Great Musical Instruments will issue to you an RMA number. If an RMA number is not obtained, returns will not be accepted.
Returns: All Merchandise, except printed or recorded material, may be returned if the customer notifies us within 15 days. We do not give refunds for the following items: (these items may only be exchanged for the same product if defective): ear buds, earplugs, headphones, headsets, cleaners, polishes, polishing cloths, cleaning kits, pegs, bows, bridges, shoulder rests, guitar picks & gloves. Item(s) must be returned in original packaging and in original condition with an RMA number.
Defective Merchandise: If merchandise is determined defective by the manufacturer, we will credit your account or make arrangements for products to be repaired or replaced. Return shipping cost will be pre-paid by us provided that you report defective merchandise within 10 days of delivery. You will be responsible for all shipping costs after 10 days.
Other Limitations: We reserve the right to limit or to prohibit sales to anyone. We reserve the right to reject any order placed with us, and/or to limit quantities on any order. You will be notified via e-mail or phone if your order is rejected.
For safe returns: Carefully re-pack the item(s) in its original packaging.* Include your RMA number on the shipping label. Item(s) MUST be returned in New and Unused condition. Items damaged in return shipping will not be accepted for refund or exchange. Customers are encouraged to insure returns for their protection. Your refund or exchange will be processed, when the returned item(s) is received.
*Note: Please detune all string instruments. If the free floating bridge was laid flat when the instrument arrived- it MUST be laid flat when returned. No returns will be accepted after 30 days.
Sales Tax: Orders delivered within California are subject to Sales Tax at 8.75%, unless the purchaser has a valid California Reseller Certificate. If you have this certificate, please fax it to 707-882-3001 or mail it to: Great Musical Instruments, P. O. Box 355, Manchester, CA 95459.
Placing Orders: Why order online? You can access your order status (including the UPS tracking number or Priority Mail tracking number) and your account history online. Placing orders is easy. You can see the product pictured with product information. You are notified via e-mail when your order has been processed and shipment information. No minimum order required!
